I have blisters. Getting the staples that secured the covers to the treads out has been miserable. I cannot find the tool I used to do the job before nor my vise grip pliers. A stop at Home Depot is indicated if I am to get the sharp little spikes out.
However, I have some of the job done and an idea of what I am facing. I may not get the entire thing done this week. I am NOT going to try to paint the risers - only to do the varnishing. The risers can be done one or two at a time.
And I didn't get to devote a great deal of time to the house today. There were two dogs dropped off this morning, so I waited around for that to happen. And I am due for dinner with Mark & Liana shortly, so I am flying out of here, wine bottles clanking in a cooler!

If I won the lottery, I would pay off the home mortgages of several friends and put enough money away so that my marvelous niece and nephew could go to college anywhere. The chances of this happening would improve if I bought a ticket more than once a year ... 10. Life is too short to knit with ugly yarn.
