Over the banks

By the time Ms. P left work on Monday, Peachtree Creek was over the banks and flooding the parking lot.

There is normally about a 20 foot drop from the edge of the parking lot to the creek. NWS said the creek crested at about 1 foot below its all time record, which is more than a century old. Wow.

Fortunately, the spigot seems to be turned off or turned way down. There has been no more rain today.

However, all this rain has led to some interesting new fauna on the grounds of Chez Packratty. While walking Charlie around the condo complex this morning, we observed:












Ms. P rather suspects that the variety and quantity of fungi sprouting will increase over the next week or so unless the weather predictions of off and on rain are completely wrong.
